Garlic produces the chemical allicin and this is what seems to make garlic work for that many conditions. Allicin also makes the garlic smell. There are products that are made “odorless” by aging the garlic, however, this process can also make the garlic to be less effective. It is a wonderful seasoning to add taste, aroma, and nutrition to the dishes.
Some use raw chopped or pressed garlic in numerous dishes in order to take advantage of the benefits derived from garlic. However, have you ever heard that there are people who use garlic as a “candy”? Yup, it is true. Chinese people put garlic in the mouth, and they suck on for around half an hour. They are practicing this ancient method early in the morning.
The results are amazing.
